Putting up the cot?

When did you or when will you put the cot together? I'm 28+1 and I'm thinking maybe when I'm around 30 weeks? And hospital bag too, is it too early to start doing that?

When DD was going to use it. She was around 8 months.

We put it up when I was around 30 weeks for DD1 but we didn't move her into it until she was 7 months old.

I'm due end of April with DC2 and will put the cot up in Jan when I'll be around 30 weeks. It's mostly going up this time so DD can get used to it!

37 weeks last time. We're waiting to get our Next2Me back from a friend at the moment, I'm 28 weeks.

We have been given a sidecar by a friend which was immediately commandeered by DD for her dolls before we had a chance to move it up to the attic

May have an issue when the baby comes!

I can’t remember exactly when - probably about 30 weeks or so? If you have it now why not just put it up and get it out of the way? Ours was used as a dumping cage for baby clothes/ blankets/ gifts/ all kinds of crap really till our baby was ready to use it.

We put it up about 35 weeks but she didn’t set foot in it until she was 6 months. We had a bednest until then.

We had a snuzpod. That was built at about 32 weeks. We didn't buy and actual cot until he was about 4 months old and he didn't sleep in it until 7 months!! I had dreadful anxiety in pregnancy and everything remained in packaging, with receipts etc until the very last minute. I remember having to ask to borrow scissors to cut the tags and cable ties off the car seat in hospital!

Get as much done as you can now.

I'm very superstitious and we didn't even have any baby stuff in the house until the baby came home. All we had at our house before was what we needed to take to the hospital.
Dh put the crib up the day the baby came home.
The cot went up when he was too big for the crib (I hate nurseries, ds was on our room until we put him in a toddler bed at 17 months).

We plan to put the cot together (or back together, as the case may be) probably around 34ish weeks. That's while we're off over Christmas and when we plan to get the house sorted. It really depends when you have time. We're always short on time so planning to make the most of that time we have off. I'm 28 weeks as well. I'll start pulling things together that I need around then or a little after. I'm having a home birth, so I don't really pack a 'hospital bag' per se, but like that time, I'll at least get things organised and all in the same spot and I did get a bag ready that I put a change of clothes, baby clothes, nappies and pads in just in case we needed to go in and I had to grab it quickly. My first was born at 37 weeks, so definitely want everything done by 35 this time, just in case.
