6 weeks or 4?

I'm so confused can anyone help? I had an internal scan on Friday and the doctor told me I was 6 weeks and 1 day, I had unprotected sex on the 15 of october which would make me only 4 weeks?

You don't date a pregnancy from when you have sex.

Pregnancy dating goes off the date of last period, not the date you actually conceived

Im so unsure of definate period dates im never regular. So it's possible I actually concieved on the 15th of october as this would make the baby my partners? I had a silly one night stand at the start of october so I really don't know what to think.

You need a DNA test.

As a rough guide adding two weeks to the number of weeks since conception will give you the number of weeks pregnant you are.

However early scans are very unreliable in their accuracy and with two partners within two weeks I think you’d need a paternity test to be sure of who is the father.

Sperm can hang around for a bit so it's not always the exact date you think.
I know the date my youngest was conceived because it was my wedding night but my dates didn't match up with the Drs
