Hello,
Hoping you can help me... just trying to plan my joint bday/ baby shower girls tea party which I would be hosting in my house.
Do you think it would be risky to have it on 10th Feb when the baby is due on the 23rd Feb.. just under 2 weeks before??
Other option is to do it on 3rd Feb but a couple of my friends can’t come then☹️
Any advice.. I will have lots of helpers
Thanks
E

My only concern would be that you really may not want people in your house making a mess only a couple weeks (or like the day...) before you have your baby. I find party planning stressful and there's a lot of work and maybe you'll have family or friends around to give your house a good deep clean after. But if not, you really might find it a bit overwhelming if you're someone who will want to nest and get everything in order before the birth. I think if you were having it somewhere else, it would be less of an issue. I know personally we are having no houseguests or anyone probably from 34 weeks as my first was born at 37 weeks.

Though to be fair, my first was due on the 28th of Feb and born on the 8th, so it's always possible baby could come before. In which case, you could still plan to have people around, but you might need to change the date and give yourself a few weeks.

My baby shower was planned for 4 weeks before my due date - I missed it because I had given birth a week earlier!

My baby shower is going to be 2 weeks before I give birth. Due to Christmas and things. Just be prepared to have to cance/rearrange if you don't feel up to it or you go in to labour!
