ok, so im lying but no one was answer my previous boring thread title!

my sister has tested twice with tesco tests

she says

" there are two round windows and a positive result wold be a straight line in both windows. So when i'm first doing it there is a definite line in both windows (positive result) and for a couple of minutes afterwards the line is there but faint then it totally dissapears!>?!>?

some cheap tests do show an evaporation line where a positive test would be...which would then fade.

Ring their helpline number - but to me it sounds negative - sorry..

The lines do eventually fade with some tests but usually not that quickly. The tests may be faulty. She needs to get more tests. Is she very desperate or would she get some cheapies on Ebay (they work fine)?

I kept my tests (sad i know) cos i thought he was going to be my last baby (have a 16 & a 12 yr old) they are still showing a positive result. Am now 8 mths pregnant (shock to the system as i was in the pill & never missed 1)

If she is very early pregnant the line can fade. In a lot of pregnancy tests they tell you to read the result after a certain time say 3 mins and then disregard any result after that time. But as mumto3girls says it sould be an evaporation line.

Is it a coloured line? IME evaporation lines tend to be more of a grey colour and develop after the allotted time period rather than before. I would guess that she probably is pregnant but the onyl way to be sure is to test again with a different brand.
