Does your tummy stretch with each pregnancy even if two out of three ended in miscarriage?

I’m 6 weeks into my fourth pregnancy and already my jeans are feeling tight towards the end of the day and I’m feeling really bloated. Is this usual at only 6 weeks?

I know many women say that they’ve shown earlier with each consecutive pregnancy, but could that still be the case when you have misscarried? I’ve had two miscarriages at 12 weeks and my first pregnancy resulted in a healthy DD.

I’m just wondering whether despite only making it to 12 weeks with my last 2 pregnancies is it possible that things have stretched?

Things will have stretched due to your previous term pregnancySmile

At 6 weeks, the embryo is only 2mm. I think you’re just really bloated rather than stretched.

Thats why I was asking the question I suppose. I realise that the embryo is minuscule, but I have been getting a lot of stretching cramps this time round. And now the tight jeans etc was curious as to whether this could be related to having been pregnant multiple times regardless of whether they all went full term.

Probably is just bloating though.

Not sure if that makes sense...

The stretching is probably due to the term pregnancy. You dont really get a bump at all before 12 weeks because everything is low down and miniscule. It's all bloat.
I had a mc before my daughter and didn't notice any early bump with her at all.

I've had 2 previous miscarriages - twins at 9 weeks and another loss at 6 weeks. I'm now 19 weeks pregnant and it's safe to say my bump is pretty huge. I stopped wearing jeans from about 8 weeks because of bloating and was relieved to be able to buy maternity wear at 12 weeks after our scan, when it'd developed into a proper bump. I don't know whether the early losses have contributed to getting a bump earlier, I just know that everyone says you show later in a "first" pregnancy and I definitely didn't. It's been something I've been wondering myself and I'm interested to see what other experiences people have!

Every pregnancy is different and I wouldn’t think previous early mcs would make any difference. With my first I looked huge at 8 weeks and was in maternity clothes. This pregnancy is my 3rd with a mc (11 weeks) in between. I was wearing my normal jeans til 16 weeks this time. Some pregnancies just affect you differently and you may be more or less bloated early on.

I am similar, I had a TFMR at 17 weeks in June and currently 10 weeks pregnant and I definitely think my bump has shown quicker. Even my bloatedness seems more obvious. As another poster said - it will prob stretch easier and quicker up to how far you got along in your previous pregnancy.
