Brown in cm

I've got horrible nausea, come, cough and to top it off I wiped today and more snotty cm but with some brown in it. I mmc last time, I had spotting last time rather than mucus... And last time it was missed. So I'm feeling almost like it's inevitable. Any positive stories out there? Should I call epu?

I hope this isn't the same for you but I had Brown mucus and light spotting a couple of weeks ago so went in to have an early scan and it turned out to be a missed miscarriage. I was 10.5 weeks but baby was only 7.5. However I don't know whether the brown mucus was linked to the mmc as I had pink spotting by the time I was scanned. Best of luck!

I had brown blood in my cm at 5 weeks and had an early scan at 6 weeks and all was fine. It is a possibility that it’s to do with implantation as the baby buries deeper into the uterus around this time - that’s what my gp mentioned to me. Call your gp and ask to be referred for an early scan at EPU

BigBaboonBum · 17/11/2017 17:40

I’d go and get checked but I had it about this time and it was nothing, I’ve also had slight pink spotting from 11ish weeks and again they couldn’t find anything. It’s always worth getting checked for though

Thank you, I'll give them a call tomorrow, out this evening, and can't cancel but feeling so nauseous. 🤢

Feeling nauseous is a good sign...forgot to say that all my pregnancy symptoms had pretty much faded away after week 8

I've had brown spotting like you describe with all 3 of my successful pregnancies (well, last one ongoing, 17w with DC3). I've also had 2 MMC - the first one I had absolutely no spotting, the second I had dark red spotting. Have also had a normal MC that started with proper bleeding straight away. It definitely doesn't have to mean bad news. Give EPU a ring, they might scan you anyway based on your history. Good luck Flowers

I would call the EPU, but very likely, especially if it's stopped, it's nothing. I've had full on heavy bleeding in all my healthy pregnancies, like soaking through clothes, running down my legs bleeding. Some people just spot and bleed and it doesn't necessarily mean anything. I had only a small amount of spotting with my mmc. So spotting/bleeding can be a sign something is wrong, but it happens in healthy pregnancies too. But no harm in getting it checked, just be warned a transvaginal scan (or in some cases an abdominal scan too) can cause even more spotting and bleeding, so sometimes it's better to just leave it as long as you otherwise feel well.

Hulaballoo · 17/11/2017 23:00

Thank you so much that's really helped @mindutopia @FourForYouGlenCoco it's still brown but almost like mixed with cm so possibly not even spring more brown mucus ish...and this evening hardly any thank goodness. I think I'll see how anxious I feel tomorrow if there's more. I hate transvaginal scans and it would worry me if I then aggravate anything 😳
