Early pregnancy and terrible chest /cold virus and also diarrhoea

I’m so worried about myself, never had 2 things at once let alone being almost 7 weeks pregnant. I have had cold for about 2 weeks now and chest has been tight but the last few days I’m coughing loads and it’s hurting now. I also had diarrhoea for 2 days and whether it’s that or the virus I feel wiped out completely and really unwell. I have Dr appt today but will my baby be ok? Can illness affect them?

Baby will be absolutely fine. It's your illness, not theirs. Just keep eating and drinking as best you can and have plenty of rest.

Pregnancy lowers your immunity so that's probably why you're suffering so much. Hope you feel better soon

If you get a temperature then ring your gp and ask to be seen, I'm 40 weeks tomorrow and I'm exactly the same, feel so unwell but that was their advice, unless I start feeling a lot worse just try to rest, eat what you can and drink plenty of fluids
