Scan today

Morning. I have a reassurance scan with the hospital at 3pmy today and to check dates, I'm sure I'm around 7 weeks but I'm prepared for the worst so I'm not too upset if they give me bad news.. will they give me a scan pic? What can they see at this stage?

I had a scan at 6+6 and could see the sac, foetal pole and a little heartbeat flickering away.
This was mine, yes you'll get a picture if you ask.

They didn't give me a picture at 7 weeks for me as they couldn't see anything. They could only see a sac and no baby inside as it was too early to see anything (only a gestational sac). It turned out i had ovulated late and so I wasn't as far along as I thought/ my dates made me.

The baby resembled the shape of a kidney bean though 😆

We had a scan at around 6 weeks because they were worried it was ectopic (it wasnt) and we asked for a pic and were told no because it was a medical scan and not enjoyment (or words to that effect!). Hubby wasn't even allowed to photograph the screen. I was understandably upset as I don't think the 12 and 20 wk scans are for 'enjoyment'. Think we just got a miserable cow tho but be prepared in case they don't let you. Good luck x

Oh I should have added, mine was a viability scan after IVF treatment so we got a picture for records.

Yes we had a 6 week scan due to some spotting and we saw a little heartbeat and have our kidney bean on the fridge haha.
I have my 12 week scan on Thursday and am keeping everything crossed all is still ok.
