Heavy Bleeding and Clotting @ 5 wks

Hi All, I'm desperately seeking some advice. I have recently found out I'm am pregnant, around 5 weeks. Over the weekend I began spotting brown discharge and tried not to worry too much.

However this morning, I went to the bathroom and immediately noticed I was bleeding. I have been bleeding all day and have been passing a fair amount of thick blood clots but I've had no cramping. I'm still bleeding now. I am so afraid I am having a miscarriage and don't know what to do. I'm way too early for my GP to do anything or go for a scan as nothing will show up.

Has anyone ever experienced bleeding like this and go on to have successful pregnancy?

I would say do another pregnancy test for now. I had this at 5 weeks but with intense cramping too and it did end up being a chemical pregnancy. I got pregnant the following month (aka two weeks later) and he's 17 hours old here in my arms, so don't lose hope.

Hi OP, so sorry you are going through this. I had the same. It's so shit. For me it was a miscarriage and I fear it may be for you too. I'm really sorry to be negative but trying to be realistic and the bleeding sounds significant. Fingers crossed I'm wrong xxx
