I'm around 6 weeks and bought pregnacare today, does anyone else take extra vits? Just trying to make my baby string as possible so they stick xx

I have no side effects with the pregnacare max. But they make me retch when I swallow the beasts. Embarrassingly I heaved really loudly just taking them off the shelf in boots over the weekend Blush

I took one pregnacare tablet and promptly threw it up. That was at 13 weeks. Didn't take anything else until week 31 when i tried the liquid medicine firm which was easier to take but still made me feel incredibly ill.

I've literally not bothered taking any extra vitamins and I've been fine apart from a very very brief stint of being anaemic (lasted about a week) and I've been throwing up all pregnancy (38+3 now). I didn't even take them before I got pregnant because I didn't realise that's what you "usually" do. Just seems like so much hassle to me.

I've been taking pregnacare plus (the ones with the extra omega-3 capsule) with no side effects. I chose those because I took omega-3 supplements prior to getting pg so wanted switch to pregnancy-safe ones. Recently found out that asda do an own-brand equivalent which is hugely cheaper!

I take Pregnacare and have it with a big lunch. Touch wood, it's been fine. I also take Omega 3 but as a veggie. I have opted for an algae rather than fish one.

I think my Pregnacare was on special offer in Boots so £23 for 9 months worth - I'd say that's not very much at all.
