Anyone else had bleed under gestation sac?

I've just had a scan at 7+5 sue to a previous mc and the demographer said the baby looked fine and as expected. However, she did say she could see a haematoma under the sac but said not to worry. I am worrying! Has this happened to anyone else? I haven't actually seen any bleeding outside but I'm worried about what this could mean.

I have a haematoma also. I was told that sometimes it happens, I had some bleeding at 6-7 weeks. They said it was more than likely because of that, and also that there is a chance that I may bleed again but that's fine as they want the haematoma to come away anyway. But even if it doesn't it's not a problem. So I guess I'll see what happens. My baby is looking normal and healthy so far and im.14 weeks.

Yes, in both my pregnancies. Didn’t turn out to affect either one negatively.

Thank you so much both of you, that's very reassuring!

A sub-chorionic bleed?

I had one with my current pregnancy which I only found out about when I had a huge bleed at 11 weeks, with clots and bright red blood
I was sure it was a miscarriage but a scan showed the baby was absolutely fine and oblivious to all the drama.
Mine was about 50% of the size of the sac and I had weekly scans for a few weeks to check what it was doing.
By 15 weeks, it had completely disappeared, and the baby has grown normally so it hasn’t caused any issues with my placenta.

The consultant was pretty relaxed about the haemorrhage site but said not to swim or have sex due to my cervix being slightly open after the bleed, and not to do any heavy lifting or strenuous exercise.
She said that they see quite a lot of ultrasounds but don’t usually tell the women because it worries them unnecessarily, and most will resolve themselves without her being any the wiser.

I also had a few small bleeds after the main one, because as my uterus stretched and grew, it caused small tears in the haematoma site

I've got one behind the sac I think? Had some heavy red bleeding with clots about 6 weeks, thought I'd miscarried but scan showed baby with heartbeat! After that had on and off brown bleeding and spotting which seems to have stopped now (not had any for over a week). Had extra scans at EPAU to keep an eye on it. I asked if there was any risk to baby and she said no and not to be concerned with the spotting as its just the blood passing out -sometimes you don't see bleeding as its reabsorbed. Of course it's still worrying though! Finally have my 12 week scan this Thursday so hopefully it's gone or at least shrunk.

I had this. It began as a big bleed at around 7 weeks followed by several smaller bleeds. The hematoma had completely gone by 20 weeks. I was told to take it easy so I stopped tasks like hovering and DH had to do these instead.

Thank you @JKR123 @PheonixDown @sparechange It's good to hear I'm not the only one and that your pregnancies haven't been adversely effected, that really makes me feel less anxious.

Hoping it disappears by my next scan, and at least if I start bleeding I'll know why.

I had one at 9 weeks and it should be gone by 12 weeks. Apparently it was likely caused by severe vomiting during a hyperemesis episode, but most of the time it's unknown causes.

I had one which was seen at a 6 week scan due to bleeding. I'm now 14 weeks and it wasn't mentioned at my 12 week scan so I assume all ok. hope this is the case for you too and it all goes smoothly Smile
