Hey everyone, 38+6 and my waters went early this morning...been in to the hospital and they confirmed and sent me home to wait for everything to get started! If nothing happens in the next 48 hours then there is talk of induction due to risk of infection but I’m hoping to avoid that if possible. Hit me with all of your hints and tips to help me get this labour started!!!!

Lots of walking around helped me.

My waters went in the morning so spent the day getting things sorted while I waited for things to start. Food shopping, house cleaning, batch cooking. Nothing all day. The second I took myself to bed that night he started to make his entrance known. Little bugger!

So my advice is sleep, sleep now!

Keep as active as possible!

My waters went on their own, 2 days later I had to be induced due to infection risk and wound up having an emergency c section as I wasn't dilating at all and my waters had been broken for too long.

Wish you all the best that you don't end up in the same scenario as I did!

I've heard nipple stimulation is the only proven way to kick start it?
