I'm still in my first trimester but as it's DC3 I'm already starting to show a little (added to my already chubby tum). I'm finding my regular clothes uncomfortable, I want to buy some comfy over the bump leggings that won't gape lots as my bump is still small.
Recommendations please?

M&S, I went a size down though & they still fit at 38 weeks.

New look are ok but a bit see through (I’ve worn them with tunic dresses).

Don’t bother with Lidl even if they are crazy cheap!

MissLaurz · 05/11/2017 10:55

I would recommend mothercare. They do them in a 2-pack. They are really comfy and don’t go baggy at the knee! I think they are from the mammalicious range. Don’t buy cheap ones as you find you live in them and the cheaper they are you find you have to replace them more x

dangle90 · 05/11/2017 12:06

I get mine from matalan and can’t fault them!

Booagain · 05/11/2017 12:07

JOJO Mama Bebe do some great ones - expensive though. I got mine second hand phew!

Ekphrasis · 05/11/2017 12:07

Ive always got h and m, eco cotton. Carried on using them post pregnancy too!

teabagfreak · 05/11/2017 12:08

I got a 2 pack from new look and yes, see through but okay for long jumpers / tunics. Although I did get the seamless leggings from new look and they were a better buy than the regular maternity leggings.

BAR91 · 05/11/2017 12:10

Asda, spot on. I’m wearing them as pj bottoms post baby and they’re still going strong.

Thank you for all the suggestions!
I find it so annoying that apart from specialist shops, most places don't stock items for you to try on and online ordering seems the only way forward.
I'm going to scour eBay for some of the brands suggested before buying brand new to see what bargains I can find.
Thanks again

I cant speak for their mat leggings but after being recommended mat jeans from H&M by other mumsnetters, I really love them...so maybe try there? I think they are £8 or so. Jojo's mat leggies are pricey but if you really need a pair asap you cant go wrong really and i live in mine (they were an emergency purchase)

beckieperk · 08/11/2017 19:42

Asda do the trick for me. Not see through and comfortable. (Cheap too!!)

LaBelleSausage · 08/11/2017 19:44

NewLook seamless (but has to be the seamless ones) are fantastic.
I’m almost 39 week’s and have lived in those!

mintich · 08/11/2017 19:44

I bought from fat face (not actually maternity but did the job) and asos

hanna87 · 08/11/2017 19:44

Have to say I bought the lidl maternity leggings and dresses about 6 weeks ago when they had them in store.
They have washed really well and every time i where one of their dresses people compliment and are shocked to hear where they are from

Hopeful4ivf · 09/11/2017 09:44

I've just got some from Dorothy Perkins and they are very comfortable and not see through plus in their sale! I'm only 9 weeks but like you all my other clothes feel too uncomfortable around my tummy so committed to maternity leggings and they are a dream! :-)

MrsMcW · 09/11/2017 13:30

Another vote for JoJo Maman Bebe. Wearing a pair right now Grin

louloubelle17 · 09/11/2017 13:49

I have found these perfect, just sized up in last month or so...
www.tesco.com/direct/ff-high-rise-leggings/491-7687.prd
It was a friend who recommended them to me. I'm 41 weeks and wearing them everyday.
Hope you find something suitable xx

MrsAlbie · 13/11/2017 16:57

Asda for me too, although would recommend sizing up.
They're a good price, nice and thick and not at all see-through! I'm 31 weeks and now finding them a little too tight at the top (and bump is measuring on track).

2bluestars · 13/11/2017 17:20

New Look, have lived in mine!

Lauraandbump2 · 13/11/2017 17:42

Asos! 2 pairs for £22. I love them. I bought so many cheaper alternatives throughout my 1st pregnancy I may aswel have just bought a decent pair for a bit more money. Learnt this time around! and at 4 months already in them and they are by far the best I have tried. I will wear these to death so worth every penny. The cheaper ones I find go bobbly in the wash and baggy round the knees/ankle areas.

Anotherdayanotherdollar · 13/11/2017 17:46

Can't fault the ones from lidl. I have a few pairs from new look but find they pull a bit at the seams.

ScotsLamb · 13/11/2017 20:55

I’ve had leggings from matalan, Asda, H&M and Dorothy Perkins.

The best, and my favourite, are the Dorothy Perkins ones. I’m 34 weeks so I’m hoping they will still be comfy in the next few weeks.

Gunpowder · 13/11/2017 21:00

I’ve got H&M and Jojo. The Jojo ones are much more ££ but thicker. I’m having twins and ripped the H&M ones in my normal size at 32 weeks so size up if you have a big bump Wink
