Hi new to this site! I am 26 years old. I had an internal scan earlier in the week to check baby was OK. .everything was fine but the lady told me I have a partial Bicornuate uterus and it shouldnt affect the pregnancy. They didnt seem concerned. I have my first appointment in two days so can ask lots of questions then but I obviously Google to research it to find our more about it. I've basically found that a c section is likely but also higher chance of baby coming early maybe too early due to less space in there. I've read stories where it hasnt affected pregnancy at all. Can anyone shed a bit more light? I guess I need to just stay positive hope for the best and be monitored more :)

My little sister has a bicornuate uterus, she has 2 dc, 1 came 6 weeks early the other 1 didnt, both dc are absolutely fine and she was the only one of the 3 sisters not to have c sections, myself and our other sister have had all our 7 dc by c section and we dont have bicornuate uteruses.

I guess it really depends what they mean by 'partial' with regards to how much effect it could have. I would definitely ask more questions at your appointment.

It really depends on the severity of it and where the foetus has implanted. A friend of mine had one and she had lots of losses all ranging from early to second trimester and eventually she had surgery to "fix" her uterus before having a healthy baby. It's a very variable outcome based on a few different factors.
