After bleeding at 6 weeks spotting etc. finaly got apt with obs. saw the baby and heatbeat he said everything looked viable and to go home and chill out not to worry. Which i did and even felt ok to have sex that night but then straight after i had a bright red bleed. nothing happened in the morning but a few days later started spotting again. read on my notes that he wrote Small Subchronic hematoma which i looked up on net and it says to rest and not to have sex lift anything etc. Really pissed off that crappy obs. didnt warn or explain this to me (should have asked more questions but this is not my usual obs. this is the on that was on call and 10 years ago said i would never conceive, i have had 2 successful pregnancies and got pregnant with this one on only a fifth of an ovary!!)Please can anyone tell me more about SCH i am going crazy I am so scared to even go to the loo i keep expecting to see blood - I am now 8/9 weeks i am scared that if I miscarry now i am going to see the foetus I have only ever miscarried before at 5 weeks when it has just been like a bad period - will shut up now and see if anyone replies starting to spiral here!

bless you

how scary

am amazed you were not told to lay off sex until second trimester

subchronic or subchorionic?

chorion is one of the membranes, the other being the amnion, they are the bag that holds the amniotic fluid, that your baby is , so i presume sub chorionic, if that is what it is , is something to do with that,...

anyhoo, best thing to do, IMHO, is take it easy , call the midwife or obs first thing and find out more, and get this explained to you properly, whihc should have been done

a lot of the time, there is no visible rhyme or reason for bleeding, it settles, and all is well x

Was it described as a erroucion (sp?) I have those and there not uncommon in pregnancy due to hormone increase. I have bleed again with this pregancy (Im 16 weeks) and they have discovered these again, alhtough I had them when I was on the pill. Mine have settled down a little since I hit 9 weeks, but i try not to worry unless its more than spotting, and doesnt stop. Hope your ok, and glad baby is ok

I bled at about 7.5 months pg without intercourse - it was an 'eroded cervix' which I'd had 10 yrs before - Vitamin E supplement fixed it. Now baby is 7 mo and it recently happened again after sex but I'm sure it's just the Vit E deficiency as im bfeeding and run-down. Get seen and good luck!

thanks I think subchronic its hard to make out his writing, feel so wretched for having sex - i have an appointment with regular obs. on Monday but just got this dread in my heart that this baby isn't going to be there anymore. the worst is that i have a picture (7week scan) I am just praying every minute that its still there!
