And do you think it would work with a bed with a ledge ? I've got ikea malm and looking at the pictures I'm not sure it would work. Can anyone help?

No it won't. You risk baby slipping between cot and bed mattress, and anything wedged in to the gap is a SIDS risk. We had this issue with our bed and the snuzpod (and any cosleeping crib). We bought a new bed! I'm glad we did as DS would only cosleep!

Thank you I thought it looked like it may not work. Apparently the bed nest will work due to where the legs are but the baby bay seems to have the legs by the edge if that makes sense

Yeah, the bednest could, or the next to me, but it depends if you have a gap between bed and floor and also how much space there is between the bed frame and top of the matteress. You need it to sit almost exactly flush or they are unsafe.
