I'm 18 weeks and still feeling lousy Sad the 2nd trimester glow is a myth!!!

Get your iron levels checked.

DeadDoorpost · 30/10/2017 16:27

2nd trimester kicks in week 14 I thought but regardless I found I've been tired throughout. 37 weeks here. Definitely get your iron levels checked and drink plenty of water.

TheCatsMother99 · 30/10/2017 21:16

I feel the same. I had a fewweeks from weeks 11-17 when I felt really good, got my energy back etc but it's gone downhill again.

How do I get my iron checked? Blood test via midwife?

DeadDoorpost · 30/10/2017 23:46

Yeah, there's routine blood tests done anyway but if you mention it to them and say how you're feeling they should offer you to do them. If not then there's always the Dr

I feel exactly the same @1987Laura.

Felt tired in the 1st trimester but I am really struggling now in the 2nd. I'm 16 weeks on Thursday and also definitely do not have the pregnancy glow.

Hope things start to improve for you soon!!

I put mine down to long hours in the office and very long tube journeys every day. So leaving my house at 6.30am and getting home between 7.30-8pm every day. It's a killer :(

Yeah i do caring for the elderly in their homes. A lot of driving about from 7am-9pm with a few breaks. Its a hard job

Yeah, that sounds really tough!!
Prob another reason why you are so tired, on top of the pregnancy.

Majority of my friends with children, have all told me it's common to feel shattered through the whole pregnancy.
They all confirmed that the pregnancy glow is a myth too. Ha.
