Not paid maternity allowance after 5-10 days

Hi all, I received a letter on 19th oct confirming I have been awarded maternity allowance, but I will be paid a back payment for 24th oct - 6th Nov & then I will start 2 weekly payments from 20th November. But it says I will receive this payment (back payment) within 5-10 days but it's now been 12 days and I still haven't received anything in my bank. Is this normal process, would my bank be processing it or is it possible they may have my bank details uncorrect?

I think it means from the 6th. They won't pay you for a period that hasn't passed I believe.

I'm waiting for my first one. My back pay runs from 16th Oct to 1st Nov so I should expect my first payment after 1st Nov and then payments fortnightly on a weds thereafter

Yes i would read that as 5-10 days from the 6th as well.
Might be worth calling them though?
