Anyone got hayfever remedies that are safe to take during pg?

Have seen my GP who has told me "to grin and bear it" which is not a great comfort as I have streaming itchy eyes, am sneezing constantly and have a permanently running nose. As I am only 7 weeks pg, not sure if I can wait for the end of summer to get some relief! Any tips or suggestions welcomed. Thanks.

apparently eating a teaspoon a day of local honey (if poss) does the trick.

But please check with your midwife if its safe to have honey first.

a bit of vaseline above your lips should help trap pollens

my GP prescribed Piriton, a first generation anti-histamine which is apparently safe in pregnancy. I also got prescribed Nasonex for my nose, as apparently it's less easily absorbed into surrounding tissues than other steroid sprays. So change your GP!

yes piriton fine but if you can hold out to 14 weeks it would still be better.
