My ds name invitro was Elmo....don't know why just seemed to fit! This time round bumps called Beanie....not very imaginative but I guess thats the lot of a second child!

Miaou · 12/04/2007 19:36

dd1 has named this one Bumphrey

ds in utero was known variously as thumbelina, appleina, orangina - depending on size!

well as its early days so no bump yet, and because the kids dont know yet we refer to bubbles in coded messages, when the kids are around.

Swizzler · 12/04/2007 20:14

Costcutter

podglet · 12/04/2007 20:14

Dp referred to mine as "bundle" as in Bundle of joy...

mad4girls · 12/04/2007 20:15

love costcutter swizler is that for any particular reason.

HonorMatopoeia · 12/04/2007 20:16

Mine was before, and is this time too, Bob or Bobbin (standing joke, I call anyone whose name I can't remember or don't know, Bob)
My friends is the best though, hers is PIP - which stands for Pest In Progress

Swizzler · 12/04/2007 20:18

Long story (certainly wasn't conceived there ). Stopped calling him that after he was born in case he got confused

wheelybug · 12/04/2007 20:19

dd was Hector.

sockmonkey · 12/04/2007 20:28

DS1 was raspberry.

PurpleLostPrincess · 12/04/2007 20:28

I like to refer to 'it' as peanut sometimes but generally its just bump I suppose...

Jamantha · 12/04/2007 21:51

Bipper

tokentotty · 12/04/2007 21:52

Peanut. It's stuck around and am now 23 weeks. Plus everyone else calls it that as well so can see this poor little one being called it forever !

DP's sister calls hers Peanut too.

No names for bumps but call DS "Mog" as when he was born he reminded me of a little mogwai, and I still call him it now.

theprecious · 13/04/2007 09:35

my sister calls mine Bernard, which is a bit disturbing as that's also what she calls her wardrobe.

MrsBadger · 13/04/2007 10:01

my mum and sister have, entirely without prompting, started calling it The Sproglet

DH isn't big on cutesy names and just refers to The Baby (or The Babi if he's feeling especially Welsh)

Hersetta · 13/04/2007 10:16

My bump is Tad - short for tadpole and T and D are the initials of DH and I's first names.

softmusk · 13/04/2007 10:21

my dd1 was baby bump
dd2 was hannibal

skidaddle · 13/04/2007 14:38

dd was strawberry because that's how big she was - we did intend to change fruits to suit her size but we just stuck with strawberry in the end (pear/grapefruit/watermelon didn't sound as cute, in fact water melon sounded decidedly scary)

diddle · 13/04/2007 14:47

We also have been going with the size that it is a comparing to fruit. at the moment its a grapefruit. was very weird in the early dyas when it was a lentil, can't imagine how that lentil made me feel so sick and knackered.

MrsMar · 13/04/2007 19:00
