I’m 16 weeks today and STILL being sick

As of right now, I’m sitting sideways on the toilet so I can reach the bath too - because I am on the verge of being sick - but I’m also constipated!

I feel dizzy. I’m constipated. I feel sick.

Only 24 weeks to go 😫

Please tell me I’m not alone Sad

Mine eased off by 20 weeks but it was rough going until then. Still had the occaisional surprise episode which was tough but it definitely gets easier. Everyone who tells you it stops once you hit the 2nd trimester can take a long walk off a short cliff. Hang in there.

Bananamama1213 · 21/10/2017 17:42

I have 2 already and it had eased off by now with both of them 😭

I know it lasted until 15 weeks with DD,
but I can’t remember with DS.

Mine cleared up around 5 months. It sucks, but it's for a good cause!!!

Bananamama1213 · 21/10/2017 17:59

Every time I think it’s gone - it comes back!

I keep getting hot flushes in the morning. Standing outside doesn’t even help!

My whole body feels on fire and I just have to wait for it to pass..

Never had it with the other two so I don’t know what to do!

I'm 21 weeks and still sick. Wish I could offer some advice but unfortunately it just sucks. Rest as much as you can x

lorelairoryemily · 21/10/2017 20:58

Mine eased off at 22 weeks, it's awfulFlowers

Roseandbee · 21/10/2017 23:24

MIne eased off at around 23 weeks, just because your still having it doesn’t mean you’ll be stuck with it, hope you feel better soon

Emu31 · 23/10/2017 16:36

The sickness is awful, sorry you're going through it. I'm 22 weeks and threw up in the street today! Thought I might be stuck with it for the full pregnancy so am pleased to hear others say it eased off at 23 weeks. 20 weeks is a common time for it to ease up apparently. My experience has been that though I still have it, it has seemed to get a little better each week. I really feel your pain though - I keep a sick bowl by the loo so I can sit on the loo and be sick at the same time in comfort! So so glamarous!

Bananamama1213 · 23/10/2017 18:42

I can’t tell if my sickness is pregnancy or medication related now..

I was on the drug Sodium Valproate and stopped taking it nearly a week ago now. I’ve been upping my dosage of a different drug by 50mg a week. It’s been making me incredibly dizzy - i have been sick a few times.

I was still having morning sickness before I upped my medication so it could be a bit of both.

Im almost 15 weeks and still vommiting through the night. My eyes are blood shot. Im generally fine in the day.

Lilacpenny1 · 23/10/2017 20:54

Don't despair - I felt exactly the same as you at week 16 and wondered if it would ever end. By the start of week 20 it had gone. I'm 21 weeks now and I only feel nauseous for around five minutes before I have breakfast. You are so close now, hang in there!!

Waddlingwanda · 23/10/2017 23:55

How's it going now? Please tell me you've found some way of combatting it.
I'm 31weeks now 😭, like you never had this with 1&2, no3 is hell!!

Bananamama1213 · 25/10/2017 07:15

@Waddlingwanda

I had the worst sickness in ages yesterday! I couldn’t keep anything down and felt nauseous all day!! 😫

I’m so fed up of it.
I can’t believe you’re still suffering with it at 31 weeks!!

Waddlingwanda · 25/10/2017 19:07

Ah no, hope you've been better today?
I've been sick free today 😁 Keeping my fingers crossed it lasts!!!

Bananamama1213 · 26/10/2017 18:30

@Waddlingwanda oh yay!!

I have been sick free today and yesterday!!!
Got to hear the baby’s heartbeat today for the first time which was lovely 😊

Waddlingwanda · 26/10/2017 22:55

Ah amazing that's the best thing ever!
Fingers crossed it's stopped for you too. I still feel nauseous but no eruptions so I'll take that as a win.

Waddlingwanda · 27/10/2017 04:04

Wrote that way too soon 😭

Now back in residence in the bathroom! When will it end!!!!!

Bananamama1213 · 03/11/2017 11:50

@Waddlingwanda how are you now?

I’ll be 18 weeks tomorrow and have been sick these last 2 days 😭
I thought I was over it!
