Need a little hand hold this evening

Am 5+2 today. I miscarried at 11 weeks in April and I’m absolutely petrified that it’s going to happen again. I just found out that two friends are pregnant and my first feeling was resentment that they’d both made it to 12 week scans without anything going wrong. Tonight it just feels like this pregnancy is doomed.

Thats perfectly understandable but this is just anxiety talking and quite frankly he/she doesn’t know what’s they’re talking about. Please try and focus on keeping well for yourself. It’s a very sad fact that many women have mc’s but remember that many go on to have babies too and there’s no reason why that shouldn’t apply to you. Keep well and keep busy 💐

Is this your first pregnancy?

Although it is impossible not to worry after having suffered a miscarriage, most women go on to having a baby after. Try and keep that in mind.

Its out of your control right now. Try and get a reassurance scan for next week and in the mean time take each day as it comes

I'm sorry about your loss.
There's no good reason that one loss predicts future miscarriage, and so everything is on your side here. I know how it feels to be so anxious though.

For what it's worth, I had a miscarriage in April 2016, and now have a 12week old on my lap - similar dates to you. I wish you lots of luck with this one.

Hello lovely, sending you hugs. I completely get how you're feeling. I miscarried at 5 weeks and 2 months down the line I feel like everyone around me are having healthy babies, announcing they're pregnant etc. I never thought I would be one of these crazy ladies who would feel resentment towards others but it can completely consume you...i so get it.

On a positive note, whilst everyone will be like, worrying isn't going to help, try not to stress, blah blah blah....its wayyyyy more easier said than done. All I can say is put your feet up when you can, try to relax and maybe try reading some positive stories on here about successful pregnancies after miscarriage. Try to not let negativity consume you....just for the sake of your mental state let alone babies. Remember....you are not to blame for your previous miscarriage and unfortunately this is something that's out of hands. Sending you all my love and hugs. Please message me if you need to talk xxx

Hi @lookingforthecorkscrew. I'm so sorry about your previous MC, it's awful isn't it. Do you mind if we keep in touch as our pregnancies progress? I'm needing a hand hold too. I'm also 5+2 weeks (no children yet) and I've had 2 MC's over the past 4 years (first was at 6 weeks and the second at 10 weeks) and it's absolutely terrifying. My DP is very reassuring but I'm worrying constantly and always running to the loo to check for any bleeding.

The only worrying symptoms I have at the mo is bad lower back pain and a sharp stabbing on the right hand side (although I have this most months with AF.) How are you feeling at the moment?

excusemyfrench of course this isn't her 1st pregnancy as she has been pregnant before, sadly suffering a miscarriage.

op keep positive, although I know that's easier said than done. Many many women miscarriage before going on to have healthy, happy, babies.

This is my third pregnancy, I have a 3yo DS. He’s my universe but I so want to expand my universe to include another!

I really get it. I’m 5+3 after two previous miscarriages (and older DC).

I feel like I can’t look forward to anything; do the anxious pant check every time I go to the loo; and am even planning an early scan before I go on holiday next month just in case it’s bad news and I need to have surgery before I go away...

I daren’t have a scan next week in case it’s too early to see anything, but OTOH I’m desperate for reassurance. I’ve got sore boobs but no sickness so far (not that I exactly want to be sick...)

It’s grim. Fingers crossed for all of us!

Hi @lookingforthecorkscrew how are you today? I'm having back pain, sharp side pain AND shoulder pain :( Went to A&E but couldn't face waiting so I'll call my doctor on Monday. Hope you're faring better than me!
