Could this be a sign of labour

Almost 39 weeks and just expierienced severe stomach pains and cramping along with back age that lasted about 6 minutes? It was that painful I was thinking I'm not sure I'll be able to go without some pain relief in proper labour. Should I go and be seen to by mat if it's not a sign of labour?

Prob best to wait and see if it keeps happening. You can always call midwife if you’re not sure. They’ll prob just tell you to wait though.
