Bleeding after scan?

Has anybody ever experienced this?

I got pregnant without having a period (still BF my 1 year old daughter) so had to have a scan today so they could date me. They said there wasn't a lot to see and so dated me as 5 weeks then booked another scan in for a few weeks time to check growth.

Thing is, about half an hour after the scan I went for a wee and when I wiped there was some brown blood on the tissue... Is this related? Or am I going to miscarry? Wasn't an internal scan or anything but seems so coincidental that it was right after the scan!

Had a miscarriage before we had my daughter and now panicking it's going to happen again :(

Sounds coincidental if it wasn't a vaginal scan.

But you needn't worry about brown blood, it's old not new. Even if you have a little red spotting it's nothing to be concerned by, apparently. I had a bleed a few weeks ago and panicked terribly, but a scan a week later showed that all was fine.
