Blocked ear during labour?

Hi

I’m 39+1 so could realistically go into labour at any time.

My left ear blocked yesterday (it’s a reoccurring problem but first time in pregnancy), and have gotten some ear drops to try and help. I’ll call the doctor tomorrow if it’s getting no better to hopefully syringe, but in the mean time I’m wondering can the pressure of pushing during labour cause damage to the blocked ear, or could it have the reverse effect and help it to pop?

I don’t want to push for a more urgent outcome at the doctors if it’s not going to cause any damage (besides not hearing out of one ear being annoying).

Thanks
