7.1 and I'm pretty sure I'm harvesting the beginnings of a cold sore. I get them every year or so when feeling run down.

I've been reading conflicting advice online, ranging from treating as normal to going to hospital?? I've got some compeed gel things at home, would the be ok to use? Do I need to see gp?

NHS says see a GP due to increased risk of neonatal herpes.

Don't panic, but still call them.

NHS website also says you can only pass it during a vaginal delivery if you have an active genital herpes. A cold sore during pregnancy is not an issue

Thanks both. I checked the NHS site and it's only a problem if you have genital herpes 6 weeks before delivery.

It's just annoying and sore!
