"Vertigo" during the sleep

I'm currently 23+5. Recently I started experiencing this thing in my sleep, when after changing positions from one side to another I get a sudden vertigo feeling in my sleep, which wakes me up. It can happen straight after rolling over from right to left and vice versa, or a few minutes later (I noticed this when I am already awake). Even with my eyes closed, I can feel everything around me is spinning, and the feeling goes away after a while, I am already half awake though.

Anyone went through anything similar?

Not had that 😳 I would speak to GP

I had something like that when I was pregnant. To be honest I still get it now and then. I can avoid it by not moving my head in certain ways.

Maybe it's a coincidence that you're pregnant too?

It could be the start of labrynthitis or maybe just crystals have formed in your ear canals. Try googling Cawthorne-Cooksey excercises and seeing what they're designed to help, it's hard to explain.

I suffered for years and was once reffered to a neurologist for it. He told me that it could be migraine where the only symptom is dizzyness. I do suffer from migraines too but apparently sometimes they can show themselves in that way.

I'd try and see my GP if I were you, maybe have a blood pressure check?

I hope it goes away soon Flowers

Check it with your gp. My sister had similar to this and it was to do with the way she was sleeping, the baby had his weight against a vein or something.

Will see GP on Friday- but slept on a pregnancy pillow last night on one side and had only one small vertigo episode, and have no other symptoms of anything. Hope it's just the bean jumping on nerves rather than an ear infection :/

Could be low blood pressure. I had it. Drinking lots of water helps.

It's called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo - its due to crystals in the wrong part of the ear - the gp will give you some exercises to do to move the crystals back out.
