Swaddling blankets

Hi

We would like to get a swaddling blanket. A friend says the ones she used with velcro used to wake her baby up and that she had used a really good one without velcro fastenings that had quite a few bits to wrap round but she can't remember what make it was.

Any good recommendations?
Thanks

mothercare sell them, think called miracle blanket but seriously i wouldnt bother, swaddling with normal blanket is so easy and baby wont outgrow them either.

My friends mil knitted a square blanket for me (a bit like a cellular blanket but prettier).

ds has been swaddled in it for naps since he was born, and he is now 8 months!

So if yon know anyone who knits, put your order in now.

I agree with Kitty, swaddling blanket waste of money imho. I'm using an ordinary cot sheet for dd2.

FWIW, some expert wrigglers can get out of nearly anything except a miracle balnket (or something else specifically designed...I am not employed by miracle blanket!)

Depends on how much spare cash you have, but I know plenty of people who found it the best 12/15 quid they spent in ages!! I am sure you pick up cheaper ones on e bay or for sale on this site.

License to print money. V lucky but my grandmother knitted a beautiful shawl for my DS which gets used all the time.

I used a miracle blanket for ds until he was 6 months old, he managed to get out of normal sheets very easily, I found it a great item to have and will be using it again for the next one
