Think I've got thrush. Haven't had it so far in my pregnancy.

Was thinking about using the bio yoghurt again (as I always find that best). Anyone else know what else is ok?

Hi jiicy,

I recently posted about this too and was told to put a clove of garlic up my fanjo!! Doesn't sound appealing I'll give you but I assure you it worked a treat!

Homeopathic remedy got rid of mine, from a qualified homeopath, not one of those things you buy in Boots.

Didn't have much luck with garlic clove, only calmed for as long as it was in place!

I've just recently had the delights of thrush! GP prescribed me Canesten cream and pessary which is fine during pregnancy although I did read on here it is better to insert pessary yourself than with applicator. Make sure you get it on prescription so you don't have to pay though!

If it gets really unbearable, and none of the natural remedies work, get the pessary and cream from GP.

I've had it virtually all the way through this pregnancy, and it was the only thing that cleared it up.

I'm sitting here still giggling over the garlic up the fanjo line!!

I tried yoghurt and caneston pesary's, neither of which kept it away for long. I found cutting out all yeast from my diet (a real chore, but effective) and putting lavender oil in my bath done the trick.

Honestly it's true about the garlic - rub a bit of tea tree oil on it and bung it in - much much better than yoghurt. I went out with my friend for coffee after popping mine in and kept getting whiffs of garlic (put it down to increassed sense of smell cos I was pg) and in the end I had to fess up to explain my wierd facial expressions - she almost choked on her mochaccino or whatever ridiculous drink she hwas drinking

Don't know if we've got any at home. Will have to check it out. Good job DH is away at the moment

DH and I are quite active in the bedroom so we've both ended up with it. I'm happy to stick a clove of garlic up my fanjo but where should he put his!!??
