Tickly tummy

I think I may have already asked this, but hope someone can either help or confirm pg madness.

I have a patch on my tummy, at the top of bump, below boob that seems to tickle me from the inside. It feels all tingly and when I scratch it, the skin feels numb.

Any ideas or should I see a shrink?

DH thinks baby has lots of hair

It happened to me, and was very annoying. If it would just be numb, that wouldn't be so bad, but the tingly itch! It's pressure on a nerve; the baby is lying so that one of the nerves that goes from your spine to your skin is squished where it comes out of the spine. It may go completely numb, it probably won't cover much more area (although I've heard people for whom it did). After you give birth, the nerve will recover. It stops being nasty and tingly instantly, but it takes much longer to get all the sensation back; DD is 4.5 months and I can still find the center of the spot if I run my hands across my ribs.

Oddly, DD did in fact have immense amounts of hair. I mean, she doesn't quite have as much as when she was born, and people still think it's an amazing amount now!
