Just wondering if anyone knows if it is ok to go to the safari park while pregnant. I'm 13 weeks and wanted to meet up with some family at the safari park on Sunday but have heard you should avoid places like this. There is a petting area where there are sheep goats and stuff like that, i'm happy to avoid this area.

Any advice please

You should stay clear of sheep in lambing season.

No sheep or goats certainly, can carry a bug that causes miscarriage

If you didn't touch I can't see why you would struggle? My Sister is a vet nurse and works whilst pg.

No snakes lizaeds parrots either, btw.

I read the govement vets website - it says just avoid touching the goats and sheep (ideally your close family should not toucvh them either) but its fine to look.

thanks - i've decided to go along and just be careful while i'm there avoid the petting area and just make sure the kids i'm with give their hands a good wash at the hand wash stations.

Thanks for all the advise.
