gosh it's been tooooo long that i haven't been on this site and i've forgotten just how good it is to read responses from all lovely mums and/or expectant mums. anyway, did any of you find yourselves showing a lot more by 3 months in 2nd pregnancy than 1st or is my bulging belly the result of an overdose of fairy cakes and chocolates?!!

you show quicker with second, third, fourth pregnancies, as the stomach muscles aren't as tight.

So eat more chocolates

you bet, i'm all cozy right now in front of my computer with a bag full of yummy choccy (organic may i add) easter eggs which i've banned my 2 year old from eating! hey, someone has to finish them, you can't bin chocolates!!!

am quite as chocolate gave me the most horrendous heartburn with every pg!

And when I'm not pg it gives me migraines, but that doesn't always stop me

so you have an extra one for me

but i have eaten like a horse

paulaplumpbottom · 09/04/2007 18:39

Thats normal

yomellamoHelly · 09/04/2007 18:57

I was in maternity clothes at 9 weeks with second pg. With first you wouldn't have guessed I was pg 'til 23-24 weeks.
In the end, though I only put on half of what I did with ds1 2nd time around.

mamijacacalys · 09/04/2007 19:30

Didn't need maternity clother until about 5 months with DS. Needed them at about 8 weeks with DD - was larger from the word go.
DS was 6lb 13 and DD was 8lb 12, so she was almost 2 lb heavier plus I had a lot of fluid as it seemed to leak constantly throughout the labour (sorry if TMI).
So I would agree that it's perfectly normal to be bigger 2nd time around.
Good luck and HTH

HonorMatopoeia · 09/04/2007 19:33

Phew! It's not just me then? I'm almost 12 weeks and have been in my maternity jeans for the last 3 weeks I already get the urge to waddle too - think that's purely in my mind though!
