Can I have crab sticks in pregnancy. I know i can't have prawns, does that go for crab sticks too. Fancy them for tea

well they are processed so I doubt they have anything raw in them

Ah, is it the raw bit of prawns that are dangerous then? I have just been avoiding all prawns, cooked or not

cooked prawns are fine.

Why can't you have prawns? You shouldn't eat sushi, but as long as they are cooked, there is no reason to avoid them, especially as they are a good source of Omega 3.
The Food Standards Agency has put out a good guide of what to avoid in pregnancy -
here .

prawns are fine - most of the ones you buy are cooked anyway, that's why they're pink.
