Anyone else not able to sleep?

36+6 and for the third night in a row my sleep is getting progressively worse. And by sleep I mean lack of, nada, nothing - what's sleep again?

Between the restless leg, cramps, hip pain from SPD, heartburn and braxton hicks I thought it was bad enough. But now i seem to have picked up a stomach bug so can barely get out of the bathroom.

So fed up.

Anyone else fancy sharing their tales of woe or with any words of wisdom?

I miss sleep Sad (and yes I know it'll be worse with a newborn! If I hear that once more I may scream)

34+3 and feeling the same. I keep rearranging pillows each night to see if it improves - have had a couple of lucky night’s sleep that way!

Tonight’s joy has been my neighbour’s adult son (moved back in) screaming at his wife at 2 in the morning. Loving life Sad

Ugh delightful. I think I'd have been shouting at them to shut up! I'm currently sat up in bed not bothering trying to sleep because when I try my hip goes and my legs cramp. It's like my body is painful and uncomfortable when awake but whenever I try and sleep it goes "Naaah, not doing that! Here have some more pain to make sure you are awake!"

Me too Sad
37+ 2 and thoroughly exhausted already before baby even here. I manage to fall asleep for an hour or so then as soon as I have one movement I'm awake all night. Heartburn pgp sciatica don't help either
At least there's Mumsnet to trawl through I guess Wink

So irritating!

Also, i can’t only seem to sleep with one arm under my head, but woken up with such painful fingers - they feel sore and the joints are a bit swollen? Bizarre. Assuming it’s some kind of compression/fluid thing, and like everything else on my list of ailments a ‘normal part of pregnancy’ - UGH

Just Thinking of the comments that have been said to me and how peoples opinions can be so different...
I've had :
You were huge last time but this time not as much so I'm saying girl (opposite sex, I didn't find it this time)
your bump is small
It's lovely
That's gona be a big baby but baby is just in a ball
Wow your massive! How long you got left?
Are you sure it's not twins in there?
Hello Fatty.
Funny how being awake all night things start to bother you. I guess because all the rude people are asleep Angry and I'm not.

I’m 38 + 3 days and I can honestly say I haven’t slept a night through in the entire pregnancy!!! 😫

MotherOfBeagles · 04/10/2017 13:04

Glad to know I'm not alone! Although you do think nature would let you get some damned sleep before you end up getting no sleep due to a tiny human controlling you lol

To be honest, I'd take the newborn nights over third trimester nights any day. With DS I was at least able to sleep in between night feeds, and was able to get comfortable.
Currently 35+3 with DD and am suffering from horrendous acid reflux, restless legs, being too hot, aching hips, carpal tunnel syndrome so wearing wrist splints, and just general insomnia. I dread night-time!!
