Help needed for infant observation

Dear All

I'm a child psychotherapist working in lambeth camhs and am just about to start an infant observation course. The course is well established and constitutes an essential part of the pre clinical requisites for training as a psychoanalyst.

The infant observation would involve one hour visits weekly (not strict) over a period of two years with the idea being to observe how the infants subjective world is shaped by interactions with their primary caregiver. I would be observing in a totally non-judgemental capacity and am simply curious about the subjective interactions between mother and child.

Of course all notes from the observations will be kept strictly confidential - I will not use any identifiable information when writing notes or when discussing observations in course seminars with colleagues.

My clinical training was undertaken at kings college and I have worked in a variety of services ranging from inpatient units to community outreach services. I have also spent some time in the voluntary sector working with children in crisis.

I am currently living in Southfields, London so if anyone is interested who lives in or near this area that would be perfect. I can provide all the relevant documentation (place of work, confirmation of place on course, dbs certificate) upon request. Please contact me if you have any further questions and thank you so much for taking the time to read my post!

With best wishes

Jonathan
