hi ladies,
i was just wondering how many of you still count calories whilst pregnant? How many do you eat per day? There is so much conflicting advice on how many you need!
And i know you shouldnt calorie count whilst pregnant but for some people like myself it is very hard not to when you have done it for years. I dont log anything down but my head automatically does it, very frustrating!

Just follow nhs advice (assuming you're uk based?).

To maintain weight the recommended daily amount is 2000 kcal for adult women and the general advice I have seen for pregnancy is that an extra 300 ish calories is sufficient for the additional energy required for you and your growing baby. Obviously this is just a guide and you should listen to your body or talk to your doctor or midwife. I think the most important thing is just to eat a varied diet and eating little and often feels best for me. Whatever works for you.

I've not been calorie counting, just been eating what I like, some good stuff and some treats 🙈
