Morning sickness in later pregnancy?

Has anyone else experienced this? Had quite back morning sickness for the first three months, then was good for a few weeks, but now it seems to be back now and then. Normally when I feel like she's had a growth spurt.

I'm 28 weeks now, so combined with quite bad backache and tiredness, it's not ideal.

Oh my gosh, I was just thinking about coming on to ask the same thing! Had horrendous morning sickness til about 14 or 15 weeks, I'm 23 weeks now, and for the last couple of days it has felt like it could be gradually making a reappearance? Noooo! Surely not..!?!?

mummabubs · 02/10/2017 17:38

Afraid it might. I'm 39.5 weeks and between 8 weeks and now I've only had 3 weeks that I haven't retched/thrown up bile first thing in the morning!! 🙈🙈 Hope it stays at bay for you both!

Dammit.

It's not the being sick I mind so much, it's the horrible nausea and retching :(

Are you both expecting girls, by any chance?

I had it pretty bad with first baby (girl) and it came and went throughout whole pregnancy normal when I felt a bit of hormonal surge/growth and then lingered quite a bit at the end when hormones ramped up! I am not 16 weeks with second and have it 100x worse haven't stopped being or feeling sick yet so desperately hoping it's not here to stay for the rest of pregnancy with my 18month old to look after as well definitely finding it harder this time! Hope it gets better for you all!

I'm 28 too and I haven't been sick but I keep retching too and just feel sick with no appetite. Hope it passes for you soon.

Mine came back in the last few weeks, and then when I was sick I wee'd myself a little.

The glamour!

It will pass, I'm currently sat with a sleeping 3 week old DD on my knee and it was all worth it!

sizeofalentil · 02/10/2017 18:10

Urglewurgle - I KNOW that I will wee myself at some point. Probably while vomiting / crying. With a bit of snot down my face for a good measure.

Yeah, size that was about it... Although sneezing after the birth has been a lot more traumatic!

mummabubs · 02/10/2017 20:29

We haven't found out @sizeofalentil so maybe!! I have heard the tale that girls make you sicky but then I know people who had boys and had HG (I'm definitely not that bad!) so clearly there's some exceptions!!

Keep smaller portions of food on your tummy. It helps ease the over sensation in your stomach. Also, keep some Saltines around to snack on, they’re light and the salt helps. No to morning sickness tea is good to ease nausea.

I’m 26 weeks and my sickness has come back ☹️ went away at 13 weeks - back at 21-22 weeks on and off.
