I will be having a trans-vaginal scan at 6 weeks (had IVF).

I'm worried that a heartbeat won't be seen because its early days.

What percentage of pregnancies can detect a heart beat this early?

the heart starts beating I think at 5 weeks and is detectable at 6 weeks.... it all happens at precise times, so as long as you know the exact date of conception you would see a heartbeat a 6 weeks if all is well.

Not completely true, everything can be fine and you can not be able to get a good look at little seed for whatever reason-positioning, how full your bladder is, how clear its surroundings are. Don't panic if you see nothing, a week can make the world of difference

I had a trans-vaginal scan at 5+4 and saw a very obvious flickering heart beat Smile
