Hey guys,
So I got given forms for a sure start maternity grant as I now receive income support.
I am 31 weeks now though and don't see my midwife to sign the forms until 2 weeks where I will be 33 weeks.
Is this too large for me to get the grant?

Thank you

Pretty sure the grant can be claimed anywhere from 11 weeks before due date so you'll be fine. I'm 33 weeks and mine is going in the post this week.

Ok great thank you,who signed yours?
I'm wondering if my health advisor can do it as I don't see my midwife for 2 weeks

I was lucky to get my midwife to sign it but you can get any health care worker to I guess as long as they know. Could be worth popping up to the hospital to find a midwife to do it. If not then your GP? Not sure if a health advisor would be able to but always worth a shot.

You can also claim after baby is born.
