Bleeding for 6 weeks straight

So, I miscarried very early in my pregnancy (2nd mc, first was not this bad). The doctor estimates that I was probably only 4-5 weeks. It's now been 6 weeks since the mc was confirmed, and I'm still bleeding fairly heavily. Originally the bleeding was way heavier than a normal period. Now it's down to a light period (still requiring pads though). I might expect this much bleeding from a mc that occurred much later, but I had already mc by the time I realized I might be pregnant. My doctor guesses that I probably had an eptoptic pregnancy that resolved itself. My HCG is not down to 120. I guess I'm worried that this much bleeding indicates something worse, such as internal damage. Has anyone else dealt with something like this?

Hey OP i'm sorry for your loss Flowers

Have you been back to your doctor since you had the MC at all?... HCG should have dropped more than that by now i would imagine. However there is a lady i know who had to wait 12 weeks before they would investigate anything.

I hope they are willing to look further into it for you!

I would go back to your doctor. I suspect you have some retained tissue somewhere (sounds horrible but unfortunately not uncommon). When I had my mc, I waited 6 weeks and had nothing more than spotting and light bleeding in all that time (needed surgery to complete the mc). Another friend had a mc but like you continued to bleed a long time because her body hadn't expelled it all. Good to get checked. They should check hcg and do a scan.
