Baby kicks - when do you notice a pattern?

I'm 20 weeks and I've felt little flutters since about 16 weeks, they're starting to feel more like little kicks now but I'm not really noticing a pattern as such? Some days I feel her dancing away and kicking me for about an hour non stop (mainly in the evening) and some days I hardly feel anything! When do you start to really notice a pattern that you become familiar with? At my 20 week scan they found that my placenta is "anterior", will this probably cushion the kicks some days? Thank you :)

I'd second Kicks Count. I downloaded the (free) app on my phone and it's helped me to keep my panic in check!
