Iv had a quick google and can't find anything certain. Iv got some strepsils but most sites say strepsils are not safe to take during pregnancy.

Does any one know?

Thank you 😊

I think they recommend, that to be totally safe, you only take glycerin, honey or 'simple linctus'. Not massively effective but will lubricate your throat.

I've never used strepsils in pregnancy as it says don't take so I've always taken paracetamol when I've had a sore throat in pregnancy

Do your own Lemsip with hot water and lemons. Keep away from anything medicinal apart from paracetomol. I suffered from a throat which was so sore it made me feel sick all the time. Just got to soldier through it and I used hot water with some cut up lemons and paracetomol at night before bed

My GP told me to take strepsils - though I know they say "not recommended". Often that's due to absence of tests to prove safety rather than anything sinister.
Maybe phone midwife or gp for advice

Pretty sure I had tyrozets double check with the pharmacist though.

The packet of strepsils I looked at the other day said they weren't safe for pregnant women so I've been having halls soothers.
To be honest I feel like I've got over this cold quicker without dosing myself up with strepsils and lemsip like in normally do. Lots of rest and water has really helped. Hope you feel better soon x
