3 weeks ago I measured spot on but today I'm measuring 5 weeks ahead of my gestation!
Midwife isn't worried and said baby feels long and skinny and doesn't feel like a big baby!
I'm worried I'm going to have a huge baby now.
Has anyone measured ahead like this and had a smaller baby than what they were expecting? Or did they turn out to actually have big babies?

Just to add my DS was 7lbs1.5 a day early & DD was 8lbs on her due date

my sons were also really ahead and they were 9lb11oz and 9lb11.5oz. So pretty decent sizes! Smile

Good sizes. Midwife also said they tend to usually get bigger the more babies you have

I measured ahead with dc3 she was 9.5 2 weeks overdue. Dc2 was predicted to be over 10, he was 8.4.

My son measured ahead all pregnancy, he was born at 40 + 1 7lb 11 3/4 but very long.

If subsequent babies get bigger im having no more... ds was 11lb 0.5oz when he was born at 41+3. He had been scanned at 37wks and was 9lb 1oz

HeartStrings · 28/09/2017 20:14

Saying that but my younger Dsis was smaller than me @ItsNachoCheese

I may chance finding out one day in the very distant future 😂

Have you not been offered a growth scan?

I was 30 weeks, measuring 35 and they wanted to scan me asap... also made sure I'd had the glucose tolerance test.

HeartStrings · 28/09/2017 21:00

My urine sample was fine and had no glucose in it this time (had a tiny bit in last time but I think it was down to my sugary drink I had before my appointment) so I don't need GTT

I haven't been sent for a growth scan, midwife isn't worried however she said if I'm measuring even bigger at my next appointment in two weeks time or if it's dropped in size then she'll send me for one.
