So, had sex 18 days ago, all afternoon yesterday had what looked like spotting (far far too light for it to be a period, and I've never had this during a cycle before) never had spotting with DD last year. Mild cramps and mood swings, basically all the trademarks of me starting AF but as of yet no AF! We're not actively trying (was a drunken unprotected frolic!) just happened to happen when I think I was ovulating! Took a test today and it was negative is 17 days too late for IB? could it just be too early to get a positive?

Unfortunately OP, people can give you anecdotal stories of their own re: falling pregnant but no one here can tell you if you are or not.

Only time will tell. Wait, retest in a few days/week.

If you had sex 18 days ago and the test is negative it's highly unlikely you are.

Well I've heard of the two week wait
So I'm assuming it takes 14 days from ovulation until you can test...
so unless you had sex 4 days before ovulation I would say it's unlikely
The month I got my positive I tested 10 days after ovulation and there was a faint line
Then bought a first response and there was a strong line
Could you go and buy one of them? They are meant to be the most reliable! Got mine from boots!
