Threatened miscarriage...anyone had similar?

I'm 6+5 weeks pregnant and I noticed about 6:30pm tonight that I had been bleeding. I called 111 and because I've had 2 previous miscarriages and I don't feel well plus I've had a slight niggly pain on 1 side they sent me to the out of hours. They had a feel of my stomach and just told me the early pregnancy team will contact me in the morning as it's being treated as a threatened miscarriage. I've been wearing pads since spotting the bleed and had nothing since apart from a little bit on my tissue. I know I'm getting a phone call tomorrow and will no doubt get checked but I'm going out of my mind with it being on and off I don't know what's going on. Obviously I'm worried but should I be? Anybody experienced this before?

Yes, twice.
First one was a heavy bleed at 12 weeks. The result is now 20 and in his third year at university.
Second one was bleeding on and off from 7 weeks to 15, I've just spent the evening watching football with the 17 year old result of that threatened miscarriage.

I hope everything works out well for you Flowers

Did u get checked by the early pregnancy unit? If so how long did they leave u waiting before they see u? I think I'm a lot more worried as I have had 2 previous miscarriages....its took me a long time to decide that I want another baby because of that reason. This then happens so now I'm going out of my mind!!

I lost my first to a missed miscarriage, brown bleeding was my only sign. My second I had the same brown bleeding, followed by an internal scan in the USA(we were away), they saw a heartbeat. I had lots more bright red bleeding and it was a threatened miscarriage but she was ok and is now 8.

I know that feeling of waiting in fear and I feel for you. Hoping all is well x

I hope everything turns out to be fine. Long time ago now, but yes I experienced similar. I had niggly pains on one side and light bleeding. There was some concerns about the pregnancy being ectopic, although they did say that was v painful and mine was more on/ off cramps. An early scan showed that all was fine.
The waiting is absolutely awful, and you won't settle till you 100% know. I hope tomorrow brings good news. Best wishes x

I had this twice, one turned out to be a MMC the other turned into my 5 month old daughter who is asleep next to me.

I had to wait a couple of days to the seen at the EPU both tImes. It’s horrible not knowing, sending you a big hug xx

Thanks for your replies.....hopefully I won't be left waiting too long. Nice to see a majority have turned into healthy children. I feel a little more relaxed than earlier but obviously still worrying xx

amylou the first time was on a Saturday afternoon and an on call doctor made a home visit, I had my 12 week scan booked for a few days later so I was told to wait for that. Second time I hadn't even bothered to go to the GP to get the pregnancy confirmed as I was convinced I was miscarrying (my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 7 weeks so I thought it was happening again) but when the bleeding continued I went at around 9 weeks and was scanned there and then and saw the baby with his heart beating. It was still a horrible worry though as the light bleeding continued almost daily. I remember sitting there often and being annoyed that my body wouldn't just get it over and done with if I was going to miscarry as the waiting was unbearable.

Hi im new to this site. Im going through exactly what your going through!! i was fine all morning at work, had my lunch anf started getting pains from one side of my pelvic...went straight to the hospital. Once i got there went 2 the bathroom and saw very light bleeding...They did a test and it came back negative however hospital test they dont wait for the full 3 minutes. Doc said im going through a mc..however i just did one about 2am and its positive. They didnt check my stomach or bloods and sent me home..i do have an scan at ep unit on monday so that will clear things up...good luck. x x

amylou131 · 28/09/2017 11:40

I hate how they just automatically say mc and that's that like u should just carry on as normal. Luckily I've got a scan at 1:30 today so should get an answer. Good luck to u all and will let u know how I get on

I've not had bleeding but did haa some pink spotting and a yellow phlegm like blob with a streak of red blood. Midwife told me to go to A&E where my blood pressure and urine sample were taken & i was given a paper with info on threatened miscarriage. I got a private scan the same day & saw heartbeat (tuesday) then saw heartbeat again on the Saturday with the EPAU. I'm now 9+3

ThreeAfter30 · 28/09/2017 13:11

Just had my scan and everything is going fine. Seen baby beans heartbeat beating away nicely. She's put me at 6+2 and put the bleeding down to implantation bleeding. Good luck to everybody else waiting for their first scan and hope it turns out as well as mine has
