Hi all,

I’m just looking for a bit of advice! I have a very active baby and been feeling regular movements and prods for the last week and a half. However today I haven’t felt as many (if any really!). I’m currently lying on my left side as I tend to feel her move a lot in that position but nothing as of yet! Any advice!?xx

Do I contact Midwife or am I overthinking things?

Call midwife or maternity unit. This happened to me a few weeks ago around the Same tim as you. I called hospital first, she told me to lay on my side for 40 minutes, have a cold drink and have some cereal. I ended up going in to see my midwife as I was worried but baby was absolutely fine. Any worries on reduced movementss should be checked.

I'd contact your midwife.

However, at that gestation, babies are still very small and can hide very easily. I had the same thing at 25 weeks. Baby was fine, had just managed to change position. You'll be too early for them to hook you up to the full monitor, but they can check you with a Doppler.

Everything is probably fine, but still contact your midwife for reassurance.

Thanks for the advice everyone! Tried lying on my side and had something cold to drink. Still nothing so going to her now! Fingers crossed everything is ok!xx

Try not too worry and baby is still small, always best to get checked ☺️ As soon as the midwife put the Doppler on my tummy he kicked her hand, little monkey.

Just got back from the hospital everything ok with baby thank god! She was being a little diva and kept us waiting for a good 7 minutes until we could find heartbeat and now she’s moving non stop! Bloody typical! Thanks for all the advice ladies!xx

Eeeep! Scary!!! I swear these babies just like to make us panic. So glad everything is ok.

Glad all is ok 😊

Glad she's ok... those days are scary though... my dh calls them "cooking days" where baby is cooking and growing. They are usually followed by "disco days"!
