evening ladies
hope you’ve all had a fab weekend. if any1
was out enjoying guy fawks, hope you weren’t too cold and you had a safe evening 🔥 💥
i’ve had a lovely weekend in that i helped organised a baby shower for my friend yday and she loved it. she’s having a baby girl about a week after me. she got me a lovely bunch of fresh flowers as a thank you and they are making my whole house smell amazing!
i also got my hair done (roots and a trim - hairdresser cut me some “long bangs” as she called it. means when i tie my hair up, i might still have a style to it rather than looking like vicky pollard) and ended up out for dinner with MIL and her partner. DH had a sneaky wine or two which meant i was driving. it was such a long day i was sound asleep by 10pm! all in all, an active but tiring weekend.
you’re right Moo, Dolly & Baking the C section isn’t my preferred mode of delivery but i am certainly not head strong enough to go against consultant advice and potentially end up in an emergency/traumatic situation. as long as my boy gets here, i don’t care how. as for the 38weeks delivery, i cannot lie, i am absolutely friggin delighted 😁 i will hopefully be home and well established in a routine before santa comes. and i won’t miss my xmas day dinner - result!
thanks for the honest update on breast feeding too ladies, and the link too Moo. i have become obsessed with this lately and hope to bf if i can. but i need to keep reminding myself that it doesn’t work for everyone.
nice to hear that george has settled in well at home @Ohb0llocks - sorry to hear you’re having health related anxiety issues. i don’t know much about post natal infections but i do know that there’s no point in me saying “don’t worry”. if you ever need to chat, i’m here. i find sometimes talking and saying my worries out loud help me rationalise them. hope you start to feel more yourself soon chic x
for the last few weeks iv had some right shoulder blade discomfort which is now full blown pain. i mentioned it to the physio who took 1 of our antenatal classes and she advised it’s probably deferred pain from my diaphragm as baby is squishing everything. that’s all fine and dandy but it’s actually really bloody sore now (i took painkillers today at my wits end - iv been trying to not pop anymore pills as i already rattle when i walk with the diabetes meds). so, any advice? my boys feet are high up in my tummy, kicking away right under my boobs and i have a feeling i am also overstretching/slouching at times to make room for his kicks (they are quite uncomfortable). help?! iv tried cold and heat packs and currently in the bath to try ease it too. i’ll send the biggest box of cream cakes to whoever comes up with anything that helps xxx
