The bath was helping but not as much now. The flow of the water when I’m moving through the pain helps though if that makes sense

Roseandbee · 27/10/2017 21:16

Sounds like there coming thick and fastFlowers, how long was your first labour?

Ohb0llocks · 27/10/2017 21:35

50 odd hours from first twinge.

Around 12 hours from arriving at birth centre.

Roseandbee · 27/10/2017 22:31

Could be soon now, well I’m crossing my fingers anyway!

Ohb0llocks · 28/10/2017 00:45

Had some more codine and sent DP home so we can both get some rest. I’m just snoozing.

Need a wee bit darent get up incase contractions start up bad again!

Moo31 · 28/10/2017 01:48

@Ohb thought I would check in to see if there was any update. Hope you manage to get some rest! Sounds like baby just wants 1 more night in there before introducing himself! Hopefully not long now for you x

Ohb0llocks · 28/10/2017 04:21

Went for a wee all was fine, led drifting off and the pains came back. Went for another wee and I’m not sure if my waters have started to break. Got some more codine so just waiting for that to kick in. Sat on the bed rocking back and fourth must look a right oddball

bakingmad83 · 28/10/2017 05:39

Whatever makes you feel comfy Ohb0llocks, sure they've seen everything :) Hopefully good sign if your waters have gone

At least you know now Bella and can always set an alarm if you might sleep through a meal

Moo31 · 28/10/2017 08:13

@ohb do they have an exercise ball? It might help if rocking is helping the pain!

Roseandbee · 28/10/2017 10:15

Have you managed to get any sleep ohb? Hope the codine worked

Ohb0llocks · 28/10/2017 10:20

He’s here! 7lb 7. At 20 past 7. I’ve been to theatre for retained placenta causing a bleed but all fixed now!

Awww @Ohb0llocks massive congrats to you all!!! So happy for you! ❤️❤️

bakingmad83 · 28/10/2017 14:32

Congratulations Ohb0llocks, glad to hear your little boy is here with you now and wasn't too long a labour xx

Ohb0llocks · 28/10/2017 14:38

Labour was... intense.

Went from 4cm to 10 in the time it took to walk from the antenatal ward to the birth suite.

Pushed him out with G&A in about 6 pushes.

Had a big PPH and ended up in theatre to get that sorted. There was a lot of placenta left in from what they said. Bit scared of bleeding loads now though so keep obsessively trying to check (as best I can because I’m still not mobile from the spinal).

Still protein in my wee though and I think bp had started to creep up on last check so hopefully it will have come back down.

Roseandbee · 28/10/2017 14:51

Congratulations!!!Flowers Wowser the last bit certainly was quick. Ending up in theatre must’ve so strrsssful but I’m glad it’s all gone well, wishing you a speedy recovery x

Congratulations @ohb!! 🎉 Great news! I was just checking on to see if there was any update can't believe how quickly things progressed for you after your messages this morning! You did amazing! Look after yourself! Enjoy those lovely newborn snuggles! 😍😍😍

Moo31 · 28/10/2017 20:14

@baking - you and me up next i think eek!!! 😮

Dollydaydream2829 · 28/10/2017 20:22

Congrats Ohb - what a trooper! You're labour sounds similar to mine in the quick progression!! Very intense but I'd imagine a lot better (And less tiring) than a long, drawn out labour! Sorry to hear of the retained placenta! Fingers crossed your bleeding remains settled.

Two PMA babies now! Can't wait for the rest to join Olivia and baby ohb :-)

Wow that is quick progression Ohb0llocks! Hopefully you'll not be in hospital too long and think if you've had heavy bleeding you don't tend to bleed for too long afterwards.

I know Moo, not long now, second the eek! Felt so tired today, think I remember reading that you can feel very tired in the run up to labour, but thinking I'm probs reading too much into it and more down to DS being unsettled at night. Will be symptom spotting for signs of labour the next few weeks. Hoping not next weekend though, as DH is away on the Saturday night at a wedding 3.5hrs away, but has said he won't go if any indication labour might be imminent.

Ohb0llocks · 28/10/2017 20:28

He’s baby George
