Weight loss could be down to things besides blood glucose control, like fluid changes or if you've say had loose bowels, so try not to worry too much - easier said than done. Tbh I thought generally baby grabbed whatever they needed at your expense, so even if you're not getting enough they steal from your reserves. Not good for you, but protects them. Hopefully growth scan next week will reassure you.

Good luck for tomo Ohb0llocks

That's good news re your bloods Pranpreeya

I second getting more in the way of up to 1 month items Rose - Tesco also sells them. I got 1 pack of newborn vests and sleep suits (3 of each) and DS who was 7lb 14oz was out of them within a fortnight, was able to use the up to 1 month from the start, but would have been swamped by 0-3m when first arrived. I guess unless your personalised growth chart in your notes indicates from your measurements that your little one is likely to be 7lb or less at full term little point buying much in the way of newborn and you can always send your DP or someone else to the supermarket if they make an early appearance and when we went round SCBU as part of our hospital tour they were saying they have a stock of tiny baby clothes anyway.

Hope your last day goes well tomo Moo

In case any of you are using prune juice to help ease constipation, our local Tesco has theirs down to 49p a carton (along with all their other own brand cartons in UHT section). I wanted to get some in, as after episiotomy and stitches last time I really struggled to go to the toilet initially, probs just psychological about not tearing stitches, but wanted to be prepared this time :)

AmandaP86x · 27/10/2017 09:44

Eeeeekkkk good luck @Ohb0llocks will be thinking of u xxx

Ohb0llocks · 27/10/2017 10:08

Just been for a massive walk round the hospital. Had to stop a few times. Feel a lot of pressure but not really any pain!

Roseandbee · 27/10/2017 10:37

Oh wow ohb! I’m excited, hope you are doing well, gonna be thinking of you today!

Amanda they let us try a bit of the lush sleepy cream at my Hypnobirthing class. I loved it, only I already have like lavender diffuser oil and something called badger balm which is similar. They said if you get used to something like that to relax you then you could take it in with you to sort of trigger that same relaxed feeling in the hospital, only I guess u don’t want to actually fall asleep.

Thanks for the advice re baby sizes I forgot there was an upto one month size.

DuRezidal · 27/10/2017 10:44

I am feeling really down at the moment. I absolutely hate being pregnant, and now at 38 weeks I am feeling like I can’t carry on feeling like this for much longer.

I am a very active person, ride 3 horses a day, walk the dog etc and everything is just so painful and uncomfortable. I had my daughter at 37 weeks so never got to this stage with her, but there is no sign of any movement at all! B

Ohb0llocks · 27/10/2017 10:48

@Roseandbee I’ve heard great things about the lush sleepy stuff, especially for babies who aren’t great sleepers!

Ohb0llocks · 27/10/2017 17:48

Holy fucking pain threshold. She just brought codine hope it works. Pains every 1.5 to 2 mins. Bet it’s done bugger all knowing my luck.

BellaMoon · 27/10/2017 18:54

have you been examined yet @Ohb0llocks been thinking about you today! hope you’re progressing well xx

i had my first hypo today, wasn’t pleasant at all. still don’t feel all that great, very out of the blue. xx

Ohb0llocks · 27/10/2017 19:24

@BellaMoon no I haven’t! Been on the monitor a few times though. Pains every 2 mins or so lasting about 30 seconds.

In the bath now, dreading getting out.

BellaMoon · 27/10/2017 19:50

hope you get some relief from the bath chic. thanks for keeping us posted. hope your little one is here in no time and the codeine works xxx

Ohb0llocks · 27/10/2017 20:01

Codine hasn’t really helped to be honest. Or at least I don’t think it has!

bakingmad83 · 27/10/2017 20:08

Sounds like things progressing quite quickly for you Ohb0llocks if contractions every couple mins, hope you find something that eases the pain and you don't have to wait too long to meet your little boy.

Sorry to hear you're feeling low DuRezidal, hope your little one doesn't keep you waiting too long.

Have you done anything differently today Bella? Hope you're feeling better soon.

Could do with some of that Lush sleep aid Amanda! Taking me up to 2 hours to fall back to sleep when settling DS in the night at the mo and then he's up again in no time. Might have to look online to get some.

BellaMoon · 27/10/2017 20:19

missed your post @AmandaP86x sorry chic. hope you’re well. ill remember that sleepy cream from Lush, i’m back to sleeping well and napping quite a bit at the mo. long may that continue lol. 28 weeks, eeeek you’re getting there 💙💙

my slow acting insulin was increased which i inject at bed time just yesterday @bakingmad83 plus i napped through my usual lunch time so when i when i woke i knew something wasn’t right. i was quite disoriented and was really shakey. lesson learned - my own fault by underestimating the insulin and importance of regular food.

DuRezidal · 27/10/2017 20:32

Does the bath help?
