Hi Everyone
I had been surfing through fertility forums and this one in particular and had my third round of IVF this February. It turned out to be unsuccessful. I was in despair.
I made an appointment with my fertility expert for a review and she told us that it made no sense to continue IVF. We faced a choice surrogate mother or no baby at all. Then we went hunting up on possible ways of treatment, successful cases, forums, articles and so on. We visited meetings on surrogate maternity.
Imagine my astonishment two weeks ago when I was expecting for my period and discovered I was pregnant! My husband and I had been trying to conceive for 2 years. We tried two different treatment plans (IVF and IUI) and both failed, in different clinics in different states. They told me that my tubes were blocked, I had Laparascopic Surgery and no result... and then a miracle happened! I'm 5w+4 and I am 37.
I'm the happiest person in the world. I'm gonna be a mother!!!! Just wanted to share my best news ever to encourage everyone here who is trying. I wish all the best to everyone!

Congratulations! To keep this on topic Cos is brilliant for maternity wear that isn't maternity wear!

flumpybear · 26/09/2017 19:30

Brilliant - sometimes I'm sure that if the edge of stress is taken away your body naturally falls pregnant - I've heard of lots of people giving up, or the opposite and actually seeking help and it just rubs the edge off the stress - it happened for me with both mine, first one was relying on Angus castus and exercise plus we got a new cat and decided not to worry about booze and food over hristmas - positive result on 2 Jan
Second I just got a new job and we decided to give up tying for a year whilst I settled in - we'd tried for two years with both ....
Enjoy every minute Flowers

OP, that is wonderful news and I congratulate you heartily.

Please can I ask you however to report your post to MNHQ and get it moved to a different sub forum? I know from experience that there are plenty of MNers who use S&B as a welcome respite from a lot of the baby and pregnancy chat which, understandably for a parenting forum, tends to come up in Chat, AIBU etc. It isn't really fair to blindside them here.

Congratulations again; wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Congratulations. This has put a huge smile on my face. We had a similar situation. I had one naturally then tried for another for 4 years with fertility treatment and a mmc....after that my specialist told me point blank it wasn't going to happen. About a month later I got a positive test ;)
Isn't it amazing what the body can do once the brain 'lets go' of something so to speak x

Hello ladies,
My story is only at its beginning. This Thursday I was diagnosed to have low progesterone levels and my doctor put me on Progesterone treatment. Have read lots of articles of its uses, results, contraindications, side effects which are actually frustrating. Then I came here and there are so many successful and encouraging stories. I wish all of you to have a healthy family. Could someone be so kind and share where they ordered Progesterone capsules.

Hopeful2102 · 28/09/2017 12:46
